The MQ-135 Gas Sensor Module is an air quality sensor designed to detect a wide range of harmful gases including ammonia (NH₃), nitrogen oxides (NOx), alcohol, benzene, smoke, and carbon dioxide (CO₂). It provides both analog and digital outputs, making it suitable for air quality monitoring and environmental sensing projects.
The MQ-135 Gas Sensor Module uses a sensitive gas detection element that changes its resistance in the presence of various gases. The onboard comparator and adjustable potentiometer allow users to set a detection threshold for digital output, while the analog output provides continuous gas concentration readings.
The module is widely used in indoor air quality monitoring systems, smart homes, industrial safety systems, environmental monitoring, HVAC systems, and IoT projects. It is compatible with Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi (via ADC), STM32, and other microcontroller platforms. The sensor requires a short preheating period for stable and accurate measurements.
